The Risk Management Department plays a crucial part in the sustainable growth of our organization, leveraging its expertise and risk management techniques to analyze, assess, manage, and monitor risk-taking activities. Our mission is to provide independent analysis and oversight, collaborating with the first line-of-defense to achieve optimal outcomes for the bank. We oversee enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks related to corporate and investment banking business activities.
The Model Risk Management (MRM) team, embedded within our Risk Management function, oversees model risk management and acts as the second line of defense. As part of this team, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of models used across various stages of their lifecycle, including assessment of conceptual soundness, data quality verification, model architecture review, output analysis through backtesting and sensitivity analysis, and ongoing monitoring to ensure adjustments are made according to changes in products, exposures, or market conditions. You will also evaluate governance aspects such as model change management and inherent/residual model risk assessment.
About the Role- Job Summary: Conduct independent model reviews, assessing conceptual soundness, data quality, model architecture, and output accuracy to ensure effective risk management.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in model development, validation, or front-office quant roles; fewer years accepted with a PhD
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar, with advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning
- Data Management: Experience working with large datasets and quantitative analysis
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical staff
- Model Risk: Familiarity with model risk management practices and regulatory requirements
- Additional Skills: Experience with market risk, counterparty risk, margining, or algorithmics trading models
