We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at VON Canada.
Job OverviewThis permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for the right individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $45,000 and $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Supply and empty bed pans and maintain patient hygiene
- Serve meal trays and assist with feeding patients
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention
- Maintain patient rooms and ensure a clean and comfortable environment
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure timely restocking
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
- Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide vital support
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Continuing Care Assistant Certification, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Nursing Aide Certificate
- Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Vulnerable sector check, and Tuberculosis test
