Job Description

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary: La Garderie du petit cheval blanc is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged [insert age range].

Key Responsibilities:
  • Child Care and Education: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, provide guidance, and support children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Work Environment and Conditions:
  • Work Setting: Child care centre in an urban area.
  • Work Hours: 36 hours per week.
