Construction Equipment Technician

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals in Burlington, ON. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of construction equipment.
Job Description- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and service a wide range of construction equipment, including earth-moving machines, compaction equipment, and aerial devices like telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete repairs as needed.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper function.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
- Must-Haves:
- A minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably working on various construction equipment.
- A valid Class G license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
- A comprehensive set of tools (or willingness to build one).
- Ability to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation when necessary.
- Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
