Job Title: Chief Pilot - BBD-700 Fixed Wing
Job Summary:
MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Pilot to lead our BBD-700 Fixed Wing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and efficient flight operations, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Ensure safe and efficient flight operations, including identification of aircraft maintenance faults and corrective actions.
- Safety Management: Complete and document all safety of flight documentation in accordance with industry and FAA standards.
- Pre-Flight Planning: Conduct pre-flight planning, aircraft pre-flight checks, and coordinate with Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders.
- Airspace Management: Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, and other air traffic.
- Coordination: Coordinate all flights with Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Aircraft Operations: Operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, and program policies and procedures.
- Lead Pilot Duties: Serve as a Lead Pilot and perform additional duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Minimum Requirements: 4,500 hours of total time, 2,000 hours of PIC time, and 1,000 hours of multi-engine turbine time.
- Medical Certificate: Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Licenses: Current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transportation Pilot license, and FCC Commercial Radio Operator License.
Preferred Skills:
- US Military or Government Experience: Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
- Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot: US military trained Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, or Instrument Examiner.
- Overseas Experience: Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM/USAPACOM area of operations.
- USSOCOM Experience: Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.
- Aircraft Experience: Experience operating aircraft with a MTOW of 44,000 pounds or more.
- BBD-700 Type Rating: BBD-700 type rating.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
Security Clearance:
- Secret Clearance: Must possess an active Secret security clearance/TS preferred.
Additional Eligibility:
- Medical Assessment: Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Passport: Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
