Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outpatient Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University Health Network. This is a temporary part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with a competitive salary of $62.55 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose patients with autonomy and accountability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote health and prevent illness with individuals, families, and groups.
  • Deliver educational and professional development activities, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with community agencies to plan and deliver health promotion and disease prevention programs.
  • Advocate for health policy development and practice, and serve as a resource and consultant to individuals and groups.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Registered Nurse (EC) certification, with current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) Adult or Primary Care certificate, with over 10 years of experience in Primary and Community Care and Health Promotion.
  • Strong assessment skills, with ability to predict changes in patient status.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to collaborative practice, with ability to utilize information technology.
