Job Description

This role will drive highly scalable, fault-tolerant server-side and client-side applications for a large number of collaborative robots using various programming languages. You'll be responsible for making decisions relating to algorithm development, framework design, implementation, and practical utility.

You'll lead investigations into how our robots perform in their environments, driving improvements to robot success. You'll also research and propose algorithms and approaches to push the envelope in autonomous robot performance.

In this position, you'll collaborate with cloud and embedded systems teams to develop creative solutions for continuous robot performance improvement. You'll work with System Test / Quality Engineering to develop test plans for new features and estimate scope and effort for large complex features.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with relevant experience.
  • At least 8+ years of work experience in Robotics or related field, including relevant MA/PHD program or research experience.
  • Strong coding skills in modern languages, especially Modern C++ (C++ 11 or above) and solid understanding of multi-threaded programming.
  • Experience with programming embedded systems and working with external hardware devices.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
