Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Supervisor to join our team at Canaway Holdings LTD. dba Fairway Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, as well as ensuring the highest standards of quality and cleanliness in our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff: Lead and train a team of cooks and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records: Accurately record and manage inventory levels, supplier orders, and equipment maintenance schedules to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Ensure Quality and Cleanliness: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness in our kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Order Supplies and Equipment: Source and purchase high-quality ingredients, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment like a supermarket or grocery store.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess strong oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient inventory management.
  • Physically Demanding: Be physically capable of standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this role is between $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and career growth.
