About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team at The Richmond Academy of Dance Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our HR department, ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events to support the HR department.
  • Manage the flow of information within the team, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Direct and control daily operations, evaluating their effectiveness and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Open and distribute mail and other materials, maintaining a secure and organized filing system.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing complex calendars and itineraries.
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, providing excellent customer service.
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Answer electronic enquiries, responding promptly and professionally to all correspondence.
  • Oversee the development of communication strategies, ensuring effective internal and external communication.
  • Compile data, statistics, and other information, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Advise senior management on HR-related matters, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workplace.
  • Oversee payroll administration, managing employee compensation and benefits.
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, ensuring seamless and efficient travel arrangements.
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, providing a warm and welcoming welcome.
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, ensuring easy access to essential documents.
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents, maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct research, gathering and analyzing data to inform HR decisions and initiatives.
  • Perform data entry, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  • Provide customer service, responding promptly and professionally to all enquiries and requests.
  • Maintain and manage digital databases, ensuring secure and up-to-date information.
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury, promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and record-keeping.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies, promoting collaboration and partnerships.
  • Prepare dance students for auditions and performances, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Discuss results and students' progress with them, their parents, and school officials, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Develop a checklist to assist schools in their preparation for a monitoring inspection, ensuring readiness and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in human resources or administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Basic security clearance and willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
