The City of London's Financial Services division has a unique opportunity for an experienced collector to join our team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to work as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, responsible for collecting delinquent accounts and providing excellent customer service.

As an ideal candidate, you will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting delinquent accounts through telephone, fax, written communication, and meetings with debtors
  • Pursuing outstanding sundry accounts, Dearness Client balances, and defaulted Provincial Offences Act fines
  • Interacting with City staff, general public, lawyers, collection agents, Ministry offices, law enforcement agencies, and auditors
  • Maintaining files, databases, collection documents, and other pertinent information

Requirements:

  • One year of a two-year Community College Business/Accounting Diploma
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and various software applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
