Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Ontario, California. As a Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial pumps and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tear down and inspect pumps and equipment to identify areas for repair or replacement.
  • Repair or replace defective pumps and parts using hand, power, and air-driven tools.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Inspect, operate, and record maintenance work and their costs.
  • Conduct research on various pump models, locate, and use manufacturer parts lists and repair manuals.
  • Explain pump or part failure on customer repair quotes.
  • Clean, paint, and lubricate pumps and parts.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the repair facility.
  • Ensure proper functionality of the repair shop, tools, and machinery.
  • Perform pressure tests.

Requirements

  • Some experience working with rotating equipment is necessary.
  • Pump knowledge is preferred.
  • A background check, physical, and drug test are required.
  • An acceptable driving record is required according to company guidelines.
  • The ability to apply force/torque up to 100 ft/lbs.
  • The ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to operate tools at various heights.
  • Compliance with OSHA safety and health rules.

Working Conditions

The Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic will work in a shop environment with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
