Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at OpenRoad Hyundai Richmond. As a Licensed Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring that all work is done to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and perform repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure all work is done in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Advise Service Advisor of any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
  • Complete and maintain documentation of work performed
  • Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed
  • Supervise work of Apprentice technicians as assigned by management
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes and stay up-to-date on technical bulletins
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician, fully licensed
  • 2-3 years experience with automotive mechanical operations
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to provide drivers abstract for review
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed
  • Team-oriented, hardworking, and positive attitude
