About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Event Designer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Events team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering exceptional event experiences that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Design and Strategy: Develop and execute event design strategies that align with our business objectives and exceed client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of event professionals to ensure seamless event execution, on time and on budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders, including clients, business partners, and internal teams.
  • Event Production: Oversee all aspects of event production, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual, and logistics.
  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to ensure high-quality event experiences, including lighting designers, artists, architects, and technologists.
  • Communication: Develop and deliver compelling event presentations to senior stakeholders, showcasing the vision, rationale, and benefits of the proposed event experience design.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of event and marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years leading program teams in the planning and execution of successful event programs.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in a related field, such as event management, marketing, or communications.
  • Skills: Advanced expertise in event design, production, and management, with a strong understanding of brand identity and event trends.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, build strong relationships, and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling event presentations.
