Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of medical tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision in test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in medical technology and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by CAMRT.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Must maintain current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Windows computer environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
