Job Summary

Emterra Group is seeking a Plant Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our tire recycling facility in Brampton, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of dock employees, coordinating shipments, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 5-6 dock employees per shift, responsible for unloading inbound trucks and staging tires within the processing facility.
  • Coordinate inbound and out-bound shipments with plant operations, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports, promoting a culture of accuracy and transparency.
  • Promote and administer a safe, healthy work environment for the workgroup, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Submit reports to management on inbound tire volumes and other data, informing business decisions and driving growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a warehouse industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in warehousing, with a valid license to operate a forklift an asset.
  • The ability to lift and maneuver tires (up to 30 pounds), safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office & Scale Manager software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
