Salary
We offer a competitive salary range of $37.89 - $47.31 per hour, as of April 1, 2024. This rate reflects the exceptional skills and qualifications required for this role.
Job Description
As a Respiratory Therapist with Northern Health Authority, you will practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) as well as within a client and family centered care model. Your responsibilities will include performing ongoing respiratory care in a multi-disciplinary setting to clients with a variety of illnesses/diseases including acute and/or chronic cardio-respiratory illnesses or pathologies. You will work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team to enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family. Your consultative and collaborative approach will involve conferring with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. Additionally, you will participate on committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program. You should also have current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and be eligible for registration. A valid BC Driver's License is also required. Key skills and abilities for this position include assessment and treatment, teaching, knowledge integration, communication, critical thinking, human caring and relationship centered practice, management, leadership, teamwork, and equipment operation.
