Psychotherapist (Talent Pool) - Mental Health Professional

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions to clients with a range of mental health conditions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and addictions.
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans and monitor client progress, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the program psychologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Prepare and provide educational sessions within the framework of the cognitive behavioral model.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences, or a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with five or more years of practical experience in mental health.
- Member in good standing of a regulated health professions College, including the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, or College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from a recognized institution and seven years of practical experience in the use of CBT, or a minimum of five years of practical experience in the use of CBT with supervision/mentorship.
- Post-professional training in group facilitation and group/individual counseling required.
- Experience providing psychotherapeutic assessments and structured psychotherapy treatment for individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions.
- Clinical competence to provide structured psychotherapy in areas such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and addictions.
- Experience supporting clients with disabilities/injuries resulting from workplace or auto-related accidents, including concussions and chronic pain.
- Experience providing group and individual psychotherapy required.
- Additional training and experience in specific interventions, such as DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness, preferred.
- Experience providing services via information and communication technology (telehealth/telemedicine) preferred.
- Experience with return-to-work plans preferred.
- Training/certification in crisis intervention an asset.
- Experience with case management an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to produce detailed, high-quality assessment and treatment reports and clinical documentation.
- Able to communicate and work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment and willingness to accept clinical direction.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
