About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to leverage their expertise and experience in Canadian corporate tax.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare IFRS tax accounting provisions and notes to financial statements for year-end financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Audits: Assist with tax audits when necessary, collaborating with external auditors to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Tax Planning: Assist in reviewing the tax impact of accounting pronouncements and/or business transactions, providing insightful analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Tax Forecasting: Assist/prepare forecasts of effective tax rates and deferred tax balances, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: A university degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 8+ years of Canadian tax accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS knowledge.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, time management, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
