This role involves the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
  • Document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

Required Skills:

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, and prolonged standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
