Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Operations to oversee the planning, directing, and coordination of operations. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal customer experience and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision for overall management, business leadership, development, and supervision for the branches within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • The creation, execution, and achievement of annual budgets, policies, and manufacturing objectives for the branches within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Presentation to all stakeholders, including senior management, as required.
  • Achievement of sales growth and profitability for all areas in division.
  • Negotiation with main suppliers for all raw material sourcing.
  • Achievement of asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets, including but not limited to new and used inventory while providing for the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals.
  • Management of all manufacturing operations, warehouse management, and process workflows.
  • Integration of technology solutions, including CRM software, to manage operations more efficiently.
  • Management and development of all employees within the Division with the goal of building a motivated and successful workforce focused on long-term success for the company, customers, and employees.
  • Establishment of targets for Managers and evaluation of their performance through the use of KPIs as provided by the Company.
  • Achievement of market share goals as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company.
  • Attraction, development, and retention of senior employees.
  • Communication and action of all directives established by Head Office throughout the assigned operations.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of the operating location within the area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in the operations and distribution industry accompanied by a minimum of 5 years in management and/or business operations experience.
  • Minimum 4 years College Degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or Computer Engineering. Having a Master's Degree would be an asset.
  • Previous sales and product support experience.
  • Sound financial understanding along with cost management, business planning, and goal setting with management.
  • A professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to lead by example, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on developing and maintaining good customer relations.
  • This is an on-hand position, which requires the candidate to be physically present at the office, not remote. Must have own transportation.

Salary

Starting salary at CAD $75.00 per hour, based on 40 hour work week.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
