Credit Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating consumer and business applications to minimize financial risk for Honda Canada Inc. This role will also involve supporting dealers with credit-related inquiries and monitoring risk-related applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit applications to ensure compliance with Credit policies and guidelines.
- Investigate and grant credit on applications received from dealers, reviewing customers' credit history and debt service.
- Negotiate terms and conditions on credit with dealers to ensure an acceptable level of risk.
- Provide dealer support by answering inquiries related to consumer applications, programs, and rate programs.
- Coordinate workflows to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
- Assist in the development of credit policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiencies.
- Provide exceptional front-line support to dealers by professionally answering questions pertaining to credit decisions.
Qualifications:
- Completed College Diploma or University Degree (preference in Business) and/or equivalent related business experience.
- Collections and/or Recovery experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain business relations.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and CASS) are required.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
