Ainsworth, a rapidly growing multi-trade company, seeks a skilled Strategic Human Resources Partner to drive business results and build a high-performance culture.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, Western Canada, this role will act as a strategic advisor in areas such as Employee Relations, Employment Law, Employee Engagement, Communication, Change Management, and interpretation of HR Policies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with leaders to develop a people-focused culture that drives business outcomes.
  2. Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive environment.
  3. Analyze gaps between business needs and people capabilities, driving appropriate actions to address them.
  4. Facilitate talent review and succession planning processes, focusing on achieving diversity and creating developmental plans for high-potential staff.
  5. Provide support in performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation, human rights, and employment legislation.
  6. Offer coaching and guidance to Supervisors and Managers on employee relations matters, including attendance management, policy violations, and progressive discipline.
  7. Lead investigations into employee relations, ethics, and compliance issues.
  8. Engage stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and drive organization-level change/transformation initiatives.
  9. Interpret and communicate HR policies to managers and employees, providing support and coaching.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal/external client-facing roles.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to navigate multiple organizational levels.
  • High comfort level interacting with external partners.
