Job Summary

The Narmco Group is a leading industry player in the automotive sector for metal stamping and assembly. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources and Safety Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including health and safety responsibilities in an unionized manufacturing facility.

This is a contract position covering maternity leave for a minimum of one year.

About the Role

The Human Resources and Safety Manager will report to the Plant Manager and the Corporate Human Resources and Safety Manager, focusing on the implementation of contractual obligations, labour relations, benefit programs, health and safety requirements, human resources-related computer systems, training programs, salary administration, manpower levels, employee satisfaction, motivation, and other assigned projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support business objectives
  • Maintain accurate records of employee data, including personnel files, attendance, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate and administer benefit programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Manage health and safety initiatives, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with plant managers and corporate HR teams to drive business results through effective talent management, succession planning, and leadership development
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field; ideally with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, safety management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, communication, administrative, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
