About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign daily work activities to staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Train and guide staff on job duties, food safety procedures, and cooking methods to ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation.
- Cook and prepare food following standardized recipes and production guidelines while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items to meet exacting standards.
- Safely operate all food utensils, including knives, to minimize risk and maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate various equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers to produce high-quality food products.
- Apply various cooking methods to meats, vegetables, and other foods, ensuring they meet quality and presentation standards.
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines, enhancing the overall dining experience.
- Store food properly, adhering to food safety policies and procedures to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards, fostering positive relationships with guests, customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with Aramark's safety policies and procedures, prioritizing employee well-being and guest safety.
- Secure company assets, protecting valuable resources and property.
- Produce and maintain accurate work schedules and production records, supporting efficient operations and informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Prior supervisor experience in a related role, demonstrating leadership and management skills.
- Previous experience as a cook or related role, showcasing expertise in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising initiative and judgment.
- Proven knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Food safety certification required, verifying competence in food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Basic math and counting skills, enabling accurate tracking and inventory management.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating collaboration and problem-solving.
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$75,000, depending on location and qualifications. Please note that compensation may vary based on factors such as local market conditions and individual performance.
