Urban Infrastructure Permit Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Urban Infrastructure Permit Coordinator to join our team at Trillium Guideway Partners.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with governmental authorities and stakeholders, coordinating meetings, and ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and tracked.
Key Responsibilities:- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain working relationships with relevant governmental authorities and stakeholders through the Contracting Authority Representative.
- Document Review: Review project documents (e.g., drawings, reports, and contracts) to identify permit and approval requirements.
- Meeting Coordination: Assist the PLAA & Lands Manager in scheduling, arranging, and coordinating meetings with the city and other external stakeholders.
- Agenda Preparation: Prepare agenda and minutes of meetings for all meetings under the team's responsibility.
- Permit Tracking: Utilize the PLAA Tracking System to track the progress of PLAAs throughout the project.
- Record Management: Maintain a permit tracker to manage records of comments, responses, submissions, and resubmissions of permit applications.
- Plan Uploading: Ensure that all plans and records related to PLAA are uploaded into registries as required by Governmental Authorities and Contracting Authorities.
- Issue Identification: Identify potential issues affecting PLAAs, define mitigation measures, and report to the PLAA & Lands Manager.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Arrange, schedule, coordinate, and align the PLAA/Lands team's objectives with interdisciplinary cross-functional working groups, including but not limited to design teams, consultants, and construction teams.
- The role is based in the Don Mills Area, North York, next to Science Centre.
- The ideal candidate should have experience with OBC and the Toronto Building permit processes.
- Knowledge of Toronto Planning approval processes (Site Plan Reviews) and relevant legislation is also essential.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, urban planning, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in the design and/or construction industry or major infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with commonly used desktop applications such as MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Sharepoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in high-paced environments.
$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
