About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Port City Home Services. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in the community to live well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks, and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other care team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document client progress and report any concerns or changes to the care team.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant, Home Health Provider, Personal Care Worker, or Personal Support Worker is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients, families, and care team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work shift work, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Alzheimer and other related dementia Provincial Certificate required.

Salary Range: The salary is competitive within the industry and the CCA classification.
