About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Digital Content Strategist to join our team at the Métis Nation of Ontario. As a key member of our Communications department, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing digital strategies to engage with Métis communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about using digital platforms to support social change and has a deep respect for Indigenous cultures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Create and curate engaging content that reflects our mission, values, and initiatives.
  • Monitor and track social media metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather stories and content ideas that resonate with our audience.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or communications, preferably within a government or not-for-profit organization.
  • A degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, with experience in creating content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and analytical thinker, with an eye for compelling visuals and storytelling.
What We Offer
