Market Development Associate for Calgary Region

ChampionX, a leading provider of chemistry programs and services for the oil and gas industry, is seeking an experienced Market Development Associate to join its Chemical Technologies Regional Marketing team in Calgary, AB.
About the Role:This role will focus on developing market insights to drive profitable growth for our business.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in the oilfield and strong project management skills, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is also required.
SAP experience is an asset, as is knowledge of upstream production chemicals, particularly in technical, RD&E, or sales roles. Effective use of counselor selling approach (CSP) to obtain and leverage customer feedback to identify needs and evaluate technology fit is also desired.
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including a company-paid pension plan, employee resource groups, paid vacation, sick and personal days, comprehensive benefits package from day one, and more.

Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Partner closely with District Manager to gain market and customer insights, develop strategies to address competitive threats, and align on sales targets.
- Support the execution of the regional strategy to deliver on key milestones and sales targets.
- Employ a range of qualitative and quantitative methods to understand, articulate, and prioritize the needs and opportunities of the District and strategic customers.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience in Upstream production chemicals (Technical, RD&E or sales role).
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills, planning, critical thinking, collaborating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements, and a proven track record of results.
This role is based in Calgary, AB, and requires residence in the area. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role. This is an on-site position, and regular travel to other locations within the region may be required.
