The Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a Cardiologist in the outpatient clinic. The role involves facilitating consistent application of clinical protocols and continuity of care, utilizing evidence-based practice principles. The Physician Assistant will manage patient care, order diagnostic tests, prescribe and dispense medications, and participate in education and research activities.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of a Cardiologist
- Facilitate consistent application of clinical protocols and continuity of care
- Manage patient care
- Order diagnostic tests
- Prescribe and dispense medications
- Participate in education and research activities
Requirements
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program
- Prior experience in cardiology is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions in emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to work with Cardiologists, Nurses, and other Health Care Professionals
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote professional development
- Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and family-centered care
- Demonstrated ability for independent action, initiative, problem-solving, organization, and prioritization
