Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our fleet of equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and equipment.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting complex issues. You will work closely with our team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy power trains. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment is running efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to identify and implement process improvements
- 310T Truck & Coach Technician license (consideration for a 310S or 421A license or apprentice)
- Valid G license
- Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
- Possess own set of tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in any season
- DZ license, an asset
- Road side service experience
- Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Valid Ozone Depletion Training
