Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Burlington, ON.
The ideal candidate will oversee key accounting functions, including month-end closing, cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange management, and tax compliance.
This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, liquidity management, and regulatory adherence.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the month-end closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
In addition, the successful candidate will:
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with treasury to manage bank relationships and optimize working capital.
- Monitor foreign currency exposures and assist in mitigating exchange rate risks.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of Treasury Management process – prior treasury experience is an asset.
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
