5th Class Power Engineer Position

Job Summary:
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled 5th Class Power Engineer to join our team. As a 5th Class Power Engineer, you will be responsible for performing duties within the skill set of a 5th Class Power Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed, and action to be taken on unusual matters.
- Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and relevant legislation.
- Make appropriate calculations as required.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
- Meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- Respect confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Grade XII education (Manitoba standards).
- 5th class Power Engineer certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to make appropriate calculations as required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
- Proficiency in both official languages.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- Immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Winnipeg Regional Health Authority policy.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
