Healthcare Inventory Specialist

The Stores Clerk A plays a vital role in supporting healthcare operations by assisting with the receiving, organization, distribution, replenishment, and tracking of inventories and supplies throughout Nova Scotia Health.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading trucks, shipping, receiving, distributing supplies, ordering, replenishing, handling equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.
The Stores Clerk will also be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, maintaining a clean work area and dock, and performing other duties as needed, such as loading/unloading delivery vehicles, cycle counts, and special projects.
About YouWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 or equivalent education, a willingness to participate in ongoing education programs, and working knowledge of computer software and programs.
The successful candidate will also have demonstrated planning, organizational, priority setting skills, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a self-directed environment and effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment and knowledge of inventory control are preferred, but not required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time (100%) position, with a salary range of $21.56 - $23.17 hourly. The successful candidate may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
