About the Role

The Caregiver Associate position at Cogir Immobilier in Saint-Jérome is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a variable schedule of 24-32 hours per week.

Job Summary

This role involves providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. As a Caregiver Associate, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting residents with mobility and transferring them safely
  • Delivering messages to nursing staff and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior
  • Participating in health and hygiene routines, promoting dignity and respect for all residents
  • Responding to emergency situations and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
Requirements
  • Diploma in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with seniors and individuals with cognitive impairments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
