Healthcare Support Specialist

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This is a full-time opportunity that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:- Fulfill prescriptions efficiently and accurately under the supervision of pharmacists or registered pharmacy technicians;
- Assist patients with prescription pickup and provide exceptional customer service;
- Process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
- Maintain accurate records and data in pharmacy files and computer drives;
- Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s) and respond to any inquiries promptly;
- Prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a smooth workflow through teamwork;
- Answer phone calls and respond to internal and external customer inquiries professionally;
- Screen phone calls for pharmacists and manage their schedules;
- Manage inventory of medications, including ordering, receiving, and stocking;
- Prepare and process billing, claims, disbursements, and related documents;
- Review invoices and other documentation carefully;
- Pack and ship prescription orders according to established protocols;
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and reports Adverse Events accordingly;
- Perform general housekeeping and administrative duties as required;
- Be available for standby/on-call shifts as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Previous pharmacy experience an asset;
- Proficiency in Kroll software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset;
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry;
- Previous experience in cold-chain distribution an asset;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
