Nurse Infusion Specialist

BIO Inviva, McKesson Pharma Care Network Corporation / La Corporation Inviva, Reseau de soins pharmacologiques McKesson (SUCCESSOR) is seeking a skilled Nurse Infusion Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient health status using a pre-screening process to determine eligibility for medical therapies.
- Insert peripheral intravenous lines or establish access via central lines using sterile technique and best practices.
- Review patient files and prior post-administration records to understand patient history.
- Handle and reconstitute biologic or oncology medication according to manufacturer and Health Canada guidelines.
- Administer medication following provincial College of Nurses standards and guidelines.
- Identify patient care requirements and provide education and counseling.
- Document patient care services and manage records in accordance with INVIVA policies.
- Follow INVIVA and nursing philosophies and standards of care.
- Monitor patient therapy and report adverse events according to manufacturer requirements, Health Canada, and INVIVA policy.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, degree or equivalent.
- RN with the College of Nurses of New Foundland and Labrador, Canada. Must be a member in good standing.
- Infusion certification or equivalent experience required.
- Maintains CPR certification.
- ACLS certification is an asset.
- Ability to work at various clinics depending on region.
- Critical care specific designation is an asset.
