Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, transporting goods and materials across long distances.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, receiving and relaying information as needed.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to regulations and company policies.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, following strict safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong sense of judgment and organization.
