Job Description

Job Summary:

The Executive Director - Social Services will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Salvation Army's community programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to marginalized populations. This role will oversee the development and implementation of programs, services, and policies that align with the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of program managers, supervisors, and staff to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships and secure funding.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent the Salvation Army in a professional and engaging manner, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Salvation Army's mission, vision, and values.
  • Ensure that all programs and services are delivered in a manner that is consistent with the organization's values and principles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes.
  • Represent the Salvation Army in various committees and forums.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior management roles, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of leadership, program development, and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
