The ideal candidate will lead large complex multi-disciplinary projects, collaborate with other disciplines and external partners, and contribute to the development of our dedicated team. To excel in this role, you'll need to be a highly skilled and innovative mechanical engineer with a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Design and manage large, complex projects while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners within time and budget constraints.
  • Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers across Canada with a focus on sustainable design.
  • Communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues.
  • Predict and plan current and future resources, including strategic membership growth, while developing and mentoring the team.
  • Represent Arup at high levels nationally and internationally, engaging in think tanks, standard committees, and international conferences.

To succeed in this role, you'll require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the built environment with major project leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience with HVAC and plumbing systems in buildings, sustainable, low carbon, and innovative strategies on projects.
  • Professional Engineer in Canada (P.Eng).
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project leadership.

As a valued employee of Arup, you can expect a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $210,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
