Job Summary

Metro Hardware and Maintenance is seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass products, including windows, doors, and mirrors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each job
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand work requirements
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a secure and watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
