Job Title: Senior System Architect

ADGA Group Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Architect to provide expert guidance on System Architecture to Land Command Systems Program Management staff and coordinate System Architecture efforts of both the Canadian Deployable Mission Network (CDMN) and the Land C4ISR Support System (LCSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop top-level System Views for the CDMN and LCSS networks;
  • Provide guidance on the application of the architecture framework and ensure its principles are understood and applied;
  • Ensure that sub-system views are documented in accordance with the DND Architecture Framework standard and support other System Architects with documentation activities;
  • Provide guidance to the Chief Engineer on what views are of value and should be developed within the Land C4ISR ecosystem;
  • Work in collaboration with the Senior Business Analyst to ensure that the System Architecture is aligned with the CDMN/LCSS Operational Architecture, Operational Requirements, and Concept of Operations;
  • Highlight any gaps or deficiencies of the System Architecture with respect to the Operational artifacts and provide recommendations to the Chief Engineer on corrective or mitigation measures;
  • Ensure the System Architecture is maintained across Land Command Systems Program as operational artifacts change and perform any other work related to this category.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of STEM Master's degree in network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR;
  • Demonstrated Professional Engineer License within Canada;
  • Experience as a System Architect on Military Command and Control Communication and Information systems or ISTAR systems;
  • Experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology/Information management or engineering;
  • Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff;
  • Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems;
  • Providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management;
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies;
  • Developing architecture in one or more of the following areas: System-of-Systems level architecture for C4ISR systems; System requirements gathering for complex systems; System level architecture for command and control communication and information systems within a distributed platform environment; System level architecture for command and control communication and information systems within a Client/Server environment; ISTAR System level architecture for Military C4ISR systems; and/or data architecture definition and implementation for C4ISR systems or similar systems;
  • Analyzing, designing, and/or implementing solutions in one or more of the following areas: Command and control communication and information systems within a distributed platform environment; Command and control communication and information systems within a client/server environment; Military ISTAR systems; Joint or Allied C4ISR Interoperability solutions using NATO Standardization Agreements; and System management solutions (tools and processes) for communication & information systems and/or ISTAR systems;
  • Demonstrated work experience in system integration, verification, and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems, in one of the following areas: Command and control communication and information systems within a distributed platform environment; Command and control communication and information systems within a client/server environment; Military ISTAR systems; Joint or Allied C4ISR Interoperability solutions using NATO Standardization Agreements; and System management solutions (tools and processes) for communication & information systems and/or ISTAR systems.
