Job Summary

The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to coordinate recreation, arts, special needs, aquatics or sports programs for various age groups in a recreational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recreation, arts, special needs, aquatics or sports programs for various age groups
  • Develop and implement program plans and schedules
  • Supervise and train staff and volunteers
  • Ensure program safety and security
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 11
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated programming experience in a recreational or applicable setting
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
  • AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education in Recreation or a related field
  • Computer competency
  • Excellent public relations, leadership, communication and organizational skills
