Job Title: Automotive Mechanic Helper

Fernando\u0027s Truck and Automotive Shop Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist our mechanics with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics with tooling, equipment, and material management.
  • Communicate safety procedures to colleagues and the public.
  • Provide support to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Support diversity and cross-cultural training initiatives to create a welcoming environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Participate in awareness training to promote a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.
  • Work a 40-hour week in a permanent position, with English as the primary language of communication.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
