Nursing Unit Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Unit Assistant to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. This is a Casual opportunity, which means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from week to week.

As a Nursing Unit Assistant, you will perform a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a patient/resident care area. This includes prioritizing, processing, and coordinating physicians' orders, acting as a communication link for the Unit, and scheduling patient/resident appointments.
Responsibilities:- Prioritize and process physicians' orders
- Act as a communication link for the Unit
- Schedule patient/resident appointments
- Assemble and maintain patient/resident charts
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry and filing
- Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff
- Completion of Grade 12
- A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater
- A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate
- Availability to start in a new position
