  • Providing regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
  • Performing monthly and year-end closing tasks
  • Participating in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce financial reporting cycle times
  • Developing and preparing various value-added financial analyses
  • Ensuring compliance with tax obligations by preparing and submitting tax returns in accordance with applicable tax legislation
  • Working closely with the company's various partners to understand their businesses, help them understand their financial drivers and challenge their assumptions
  • Collaborating with other departments to obtain necessary information and resolve accounting issues
  • Handling audit requests by collaborating with external auditors, providing the necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Perusing CPA designation, an asset
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with an accounting ERP system
  • Experience preparing financial statements
  • Experience in performing account reconciliations and analysis
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
