We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at ELS Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations.

About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. If you have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and are willing to travel cross-border, we encourage you to apply.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for driving straight or articulated trucks as part of a two-person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, and performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections. You will also oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, perform emergency roadside repairs, and receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's licence

You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in physically demanding conditions, and sit for extended periods. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work overtime when required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits that include a comprehensive health and dental plan, RRSP matching, and paid time off.

Estimated Salary: $62,500 - $72,500 per year
