About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team at Barry Callebaut. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process excellence and operational efficiency across our manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with frontline staff to identify improvement opportunities and coach employees on how to work more efficiently.
- Collaborate with production staff to eliminate reoccurring customer complaints and operational errors, and standardize processes to increase first-time yields.
- Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to drive business results.
- Define and create key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary working groups to drive change and improvement.
- Support the implementation of quality standards and ensure compliance with food and employee safety policies and procedures.
- Manage and control corporate improvement tools such as team boards, 5S, and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with other Continuous Improvement Specialists across the company.
- Prepare and share relevant reports and statistics with management and teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering, including Six Sigma experience.
- Three to five years' experience in manufacturing with a strong understanding of statistical analysis.
- Good knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and principles.
- Experience in Change Management and Project Management.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the organization.
