Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded Class 3 driver to join our team at John Ross & Sons Ltd., the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
- Organize and load product for delivery to customers
- Navigate vehicles safely on public roads
- Ensure the security and integrity of cargo during transport
- Gather necessary documentation for deliveries, including paperwork and signatures
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle
- Report any issues or deficiencies to management promptly
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients
- A strong focus on safety protocols and procedures
- At least three years of experience driving heavy equipment
- A valid Class 3 driver's license
- A clean driving abstract with no records of accidents or offenses
**Compensation Package:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, John Ross & Sons Ltd. offers health insurance benefits, an employee assistance program, and RRSP matching. We work Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, with some Saturdays, 7am-12pm.
