Job Description

This position is part of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Resident Care Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily personal care tasks, ensuring the dignity and comfort of residents.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help residents with mobility and transfers.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary resident care team to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
  • May encounter exposure to disease, radiation, toxic material, noise, allergens, blood, feces, body fluids, etc.
  • Requires shift work, extended working hours.
