We are a Canadian privately owned business with 11 locations across the country, and a dedicated team of over 600 people. This role offers an attractive compensation package, including a salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.

The successful candidate will support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for approximately 500 employees, verify and update time and attendance records submitted by managers, prepare Records of Employment, and respond to employee inquiries.

This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance, and have used UKG/Ultipro software.

As a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certified with the Canadian Payroll Association or working towards it, you will be responsible for maintaining payroll filing on a pay period basis, processing salary changes, retroactive pay, bonus, and commissions, and updating and validating them.

In addition, you will assist the payroll team with other related tasks, ensuring all required documents are received on time and signed off. You will also help with new hires and termination processes.

The salary range for this position is estimated at $57,500 per year, based on average salaries in the Ottawa area. Benefits coverage includes extensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the company.
